There are two types of men (well more than two types, and some fit into multiple categories, but work with me here)...ehem...there are two types of men, Handy Men & Tech Guys.
HANDY MAN
My grandfather would be a Handy Man. He fixes cars, unclogs plumping, and can make you anything out of a few two-by-fours. If something goes wrong in my house I call him and ask what to do, and he knows everything. Drills, saws, hammers and nails, those are his tools. He recently relayed tiles in the kitchen, and a new rug in the living room. He is THE Handy Man.
TECH GUY
My fiance would be a Tech Guy. If your computer is sick, chances are he can make it better. He installs speakers, sets up entertainment systems, and makes your computer and gaming systems do things you never knew they could. If something goes wrong with anything technical wise, I call him, and he knows what to do. He built his own computer.
Men, which one are you? The Handy Man or the Tech Guy?Women, which do you prefer? The Handy Man or the Tech Guy?

My boyfriend and father are both the handy man. My boyfriend fixes cars for a living and my father fixes everything else. I'm not sure which one I would prefer though, because it would be nice to have someone around the house who knows how to fix everything, but computers don't like me so there's always something wrong with my computer (not this one though *knocks on wood*). I would say maybe a mixture of both, but I've never met or even heard of a guy who was a handy man and a tech.Â
@SimplyNita - Yea, its very rare to find someone who does both, probably because it takes so much to master one.
Hmm, I'm more of a Tech Gal myself (yes, despite how I may appear), so having a Handy Man would be nice. Of course, I don't know EVERYTHING there is to know about being a Techy. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm probably a 6 or a 7. Maybe an 8. So having a Tech Guy would be nice too...ACK! I CAN'T DECIDE!
I'm a tech guy. Hell that is my major lol
I have the tech guy. It's nice :) But sometimes it would be nice to have the handy man, although he's getting much better with that too!
@Queen_of_You188 - lol, it is a hard decision!
@MystDaPimP - LOL, well thats cool
@goalfor6 - Ditto to that! My fiance is a straight tech guy, but as time goes on (and more things go wrong in the house lol) he's getting more knowledge on handy man stuff, which is great.
I don't think my hubby really fits into either of those categories. His dad is definitely the handy man (built portions of his house and renovated every room himself) but hubby doesn't seem to know much about that stuff. I do most of the fixing around here lol. He knows more about techie things than handyman things, but most of the time i know more of the techie stuff than he does (mostly because I went to school for it...but i'm still not as proficient as I should be). So...i'm not really sure what he is haha. I definitely prefer the handyman type though. I can deal with computers and video games not working, as long as everything else in my home is in good repair lol.
My dad is a handy man to the extreme. My boyfriend is definitely a tech guy, but it's okay because I'm a handy girl :)
Um...that's why I have TWO men.
@Persiankitty - lol, I see, I see. Well we know he is a kitchen man lol
@Lulabell_88 - hee hee, then you guys definitely compliment each other.
@Another_Perfect_Wonder - LOL, well go girl!
@AlterEgo909 - yay, you understand! =D
a balance would be nice. hehe
@elelkewljay - Yea, I think a balance is ideal.
I'm a smartass.
@forwhomthebelsentolls - lol, those come in handy too.
@AlterEgo909 - That he most certainly is!
@AlterEgo909 - My hubby has indeed acquired a certain mastery of BOTH. He fixes stuff (he's had a couple trade jobs) AND he knows computers/speakers and such (he worked with PCs for a bit and grew up around sound equipment).
My husband rocks. It's okay--you can be jealous. Lol... :p
my fiance is a tech guy, i'm the handy man. lol. i pretty come from a long line of them. although my dad isn't has hnady as he used to be. so, now, it's just me and mum.
